Daniel is a Junior Research Scholar at ILINA and a Researcher at the University of Cape Town African Hub on AI Safety, Peace and Security, where he conducts Africa-centric model safety evaluations. He was previously a Junior Research Fellow at ILINA (technical governance track) and completed the technical track of the AI Safety Fundamentals Fellowship by BlueDot Impact and the ALX Software Engineering program in 2023. He holds an undergraduate law degree from Kabarak University and a postgraduate diploma from the Kenya School of Law.
