Marie is a Research Associate at ILINA, where her work focuses on the governance of frontier AI in Global South countries, with a particular focus on monitoring and reporting AI harms. She also serves as Head of Training Programmes, overseeing the design and delivery of ILINA's training and talent development initiatives. Her background includes consulting with the UN Working Group on Business and Human Rights on its report titled "The Use of AI and the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights," as well as being a member of the AI Safety Student Team at Harvard University. She holds an undergraduate law degree (top student, first class honors) from Strathmore University and a Master of Laws degree from Harvard Law School.
