Marie is a Research Associate at ILINA. Her research so far has focused on international AI governance, with a particular emphasis on perspectives from the Global South. She has consulted with the UN Working Group on Business and Human Rights on their report “The Use of AI and the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights,” and coauthored work highlighting why Global South countries should care about highly capable AI. She has also been a Fellow and Member of the Harvard Law School AI Safety Student Team. Marie holds an undergraduate law degree (top student, first class honors) from Strathmore University and a Master of Laws degree from Harvard Law School.
