Research Associate

Michelle is a Research Associate at ILINA. So far, her work has been focused on the governance of AI in Global South contexts and Agentic AI governance. She is also interested in the effect of AI on existing legal infrastructure, as well as questions of regulatory design and interpretation. Michelle was previously an AI Futures Fellow and a Visiting Researcher at the Centre for the Study of Existential Risk (CSER) at the University of Cambridge. She holds an undergraduate law degree from Strathmore University and a Master of Laws degree from Columbia Law School.
